This project, Managing Innovation in a step towards understanding how Innovation is managed in two functional areas – Products & Human Resources in India & France. All large scale companies have multiple departments with one or many divisions doing innovation to contribute to the competitiveness of the company. In order to limit the scope of the project we hence decided to focus initially on the innovations in Human Resources and Products (R&D). First, we identified the proxies for each function – consulting as a proxy for HR [Infosys & Altran], and automotive industry as a proxy for Products [Renault & Tata].
