The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) wanted to construct a new Sam Houston Bridge across the Houston Ship Channel (HSC). Due to this construction, the shipping channel must be closed from time to time. The bridge construction will be done in 14 cycles each cycle lasting for 12 days which totals to 14 x 12 = 168 days of construction. Each 12-day cycle has 1 day of closure, 3 days of open, 1 day of closure again and finally 7 days of open in that order. The goal is to optimize the waiting time for the vessels after they arrive and before they are serviced and disposed. 

The project aims to address the challenge faced by BSS in determining optimal daily market prices for their products. Currently, the company relies on manual methods for pricing decisions, which are time consuming and lack efficiency. We developed a pricing model through time series methods that help to predict optimal product prices, thereby increasing sales and maximizing profitability. The company has provided a large dataset of 138,847 data points for 227 office products sold on their e-commerce platform for a period of one and half years ie., from 01-Jan-2022 to 16-Sep-2023.
